BT announced late last year that it was launching a new service called Complete Wi-Fi.
The telecoms giant company says this update, which includes a new Smart Hub router and signal boosting Wi-Fi disc, will boost average speeds in a four-bedroom house by around 25 percent.
In fact, BT is so confident in its new service they guarantee a signal in every room or you’ll get money back.
Although this is clearly a good update there was one catch as you could only get the system installed if you were on the most expensive BT Plus package.
But that’s now changed with BT revealing that new Superfast and Ultrafast Fibre broadband customers can also get access to Complete Wi-Fi.
The improved connection comes via the new Hub 2, which features seven antennas which are uniquely positioned to maximise power, and a refreshed Wi-Fi Disc which instantly pairing with this box to create a single seamless, powerful wi-fi network in a customer’s home.
Customers can also quickly set-up Complete Wi-Fi from their smartphone with the My BT app.
This allows them to easily make sure they’re getting the strongest signal around their home – directing them where to place their Wi-Fi Disc and check the strength of their wi-fi signal in every room.
Once installed, if this doesn’t give customers a strong signal in every room, BT says they will receive up to two more discs free of charge.
If they still don’t have signal in every room, they will get £20 back.
Speaking at the launch in November, Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s Consumer business said: “Strong, reliable Wi-Fi has never been so important in the home, with families using even more connected devices and wanting to make the most of every room in the home.
“We’re the first broadband provider in the world to launch a Complete Wi-Fi guarantee so customers can get online from every corner of their homes.
“Whether it’s converting the attic into an online gaming room for the kids or making a spare room into a home gym where you can stream music or work out videos, our unique Complete Wi-Fi opens up a world of possibilities for our customers.”
