ENDICOTT (WBNG) — Hundreds headed to downtown Endicott to celebrate New York’s favorite fruit – apples!
“We have to celebrate our apples. We’re a great growing apple state. We should embrace the apples, and be proud that we grow some of the best ones in the world,” said Robert Grannis, a vendor at the festival.
Apple bacon mac and cheese, and apple barbecue sauce were just some of the fun foods at the event. Other vendors sold traditional apple desserts, including pies, cobblers, and apple dumplings.
“There’s all kinds of food, if you can’t find something to eat, well, you know, they have everything,” said Kathy Nichols of Alexander’s Cafe.
The festival also featured live music and local vendors.
