In a statement Tuesday, police said three females walked into the store in the 1200 block of South Main Street before taking sixteen iPhones and running out.

The females got into a silver four-door Honda Civic driven by a male, and were not located nearby afterward.

Police released two images from inside the store and one outside of the vehicle. Anyone with information that could identify the suspects should contact Walnut Creek police Officer Bertolozzi at tbertolozzi@walnutcreekpd.com.

Apple Stores around the Bay Area have regularly suffered from similar snatch-and-grab thefts, including the Walnut Creek, Emeryville and Berkeley locations within the last year.

A call to Walnut Creek police seeking additional details was not immediately returned Tuesday afternoon.
